(William) Bill Mitchell worked for Ross Foods - Youngs for many years in Aberdeen

In 1976 Bill started in business for himself buying fish in Aberdeen, Peterhead, Buckie, Fraserburgh etc to supply whole fish to wholesalers in London, Birmingham. Manchester, Grimsby and Hull,

Gary Mitchell, Bills son, joined his fathers business in 1979. The company then relocated to  more suitable premises and began to branch further afield eventually supplying into France, Belgium and Spain supplying most species of fish. The company majored on the sourcing and supply of Haddock, Cod, Coley, Ling, Pollack, Monkfish, Whiting, Hake, John Dory and Salmon as well as other diverse species.

Bill and Gary built an enviable reputation based on quality, experience and professionalism selling to the likes of Lyons, Barton and Hart of Billingsgate London, Vickerstaff of Birmingham, Wilde of Manchester, Marine of France and Furic in Brittany.
